All’s fair in love, war and videogames.
November 1998. As the war in Kosovo plays out, two families in London fight for their own freedom. But freedom takes courage and all Ben wants to do is finish his new video game.
A subtle rumination on single parenthood, sexuality and video games, James Corley's debut play is a deceptively gentle and achingly tender portrait of lives lived in the heart of the city, yet squarely on the world's edges.
James Corley is an actor and performer who lives in London. He trained as an actor at LAMDA.
His first play, World's End, closed the King's Head Theatre's Queer Season in 2019 and was voted Theatre Weekly’s No 1 Best Off West End Production of the year.
His next play What It Means is based on Merle Miller's seminal 1971 essay WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A HOMOSEXUAL and is scheduled for a 2023 production for The Lot Productions.
James teaches playwriting and acting for adults with autism at Community Focus in North London.
