The Wow! board books are a series of modern first concept books for today's children. The books put little ones in the centre of the action with relatable experiences that will help foster discussion, inclusivity, and empathy. Illustrated by Alberta Torres, illustrator of This Little picture book series.

Hip hip hooray! The party is almost ready to start and you are invited!

In terms of developmental milestones, three is the age children start to ask "why?" a lot and question the world around them. This gorgeous illustrated board book explores all the questions a typical three-year-old might ask at a birthday party, such as "when will the party start?", "who wants cake?", "how many candles can I blow out?"), with fun relatable illustrations and silly sound effects to repeat in each scene.

Alberta Torres is an Italian illustrator, currently based in London, who has been drawing since she was 18 months old – or so her mother says!

She worked as a motion graphics designer before turning to illustration, attending courses in Italy and London, including at Central Saint Martins and House of Illustration, and was awarded the Battello A Vapore Prize for Best Emerging Illustrator in 2013.

Her debut picture book, I Love You as Big as a Rainbow, was published with Tiger Tales, and she is the illustrator of This Little… series published by Macmillan.
