About Amy J. Alessio

Amy J. Alessio is a teen librarian at the Schaumburg Township District Library in Illinois. She writes and edits fiction and nonfiction including two books co-authored with Kim Patton: A Year of Programs for Teens (2007) and A Year of Programs for Teens 2 (2011). Alessios reviews have appeared in Booklist and Crimespree Magazine and on Teenreads.com. She served two terms on the YALSA Board of Directors and was honoured in 2013 with the first Illinois Library Association Young Adult Librarian of the Year Award.
