Dragon Guest Handbook

English

By (author): Jeanette Stampone

Illustrated by: Novia Heroanto

A dragon tourist may arrive without warning. And you dont speak a word of Dragon language!

Dont panic!

Simply read this essential handbook for welcoming your visiting dragon. You will be provided with step-by-step instructions to ensure your dragon has a wonderful time. Your visitor will need to meet the family, learn table manners and go sightseeing. Maybe youll even qualify as top host!

While this hilarious book is full of silliness, it also explores language barriers and non-verbal communication. The heartwarming ending leaves readers with a beautiful message of embracing differences, and how a hug has universal meaning.

About Jeanette Stampone

Born in England and raised in a three-hundred-year-old house Jeanette grew up with stories of pixies ghosts and fairies. These childhood experiences inspire her to write fun imaginative and quirky stories. Jeanette now lives in a small country town in Western Australia with her husband and two boys. Jeanette is a member of the Society of Childrens Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and the Childrens Book Council of Australia (CBCA). She has extensive experience of visiting schools and libraries to share her love of books and reading. Novia Heroanto is a Sydney-based illustrator and early childhood teacher. She predominantly works by penciling her initial ideas on paper and finalizing the complete illustrations on both computer and iPad. Her inspiration flows from the candid interactions conversations and ideas of the young children that she teaches as well as her toddler at home. She envisions herself as a bridge between early years education and the creative art sector to nurture empathy and creativity through drawings and stories.
