About Michael Morpurgo

Michael was born in London and worked as a teacher which is where he decided he wanted to become a children's author. He was Children's Laureate 2003-5 and has won numerous awards including the Whitbread Award the Smarties Prize and the Children's Book Award. He has written three books for Barrington Stoke - Fox Friend Who's a Big Bully Then? and Wartman.
