The Dragon''s Edge

English

By (author): Peter Royston Smith

A mystical race of Dragon Spirits who came to Arimathea and guided her through her evolution have mysteriously disappeared. Okino, a young monk in a monastery high in the mountains, cut off from the mechanized world is called upon by the Spirit of Arimathea to help prevent her destruction. In a dream, he and Mariella, his female travelling companion attend an initiation ceremony in a Stone Circle when a Dragon appears to a tribe of hunter gatherers. It flows through the tribe giving them knowledge and a link that is crucial for the safety of Arimathea in the distant future. Okino and Mariella are also given the ability to receive dreams and visions directly from the Dragon. As their journey continues they find there was a disagreement between the Dragons about how best to deal with the cruelty and reckless creativity of the human race. When the mystery is revealed, a curse is lifted and the ability of the Dragon to again flow and dream through Arimathea is restored. However the underlying conflict between the dragons remains. The Dragons flow as light energy through the consciousness of the world assessing the damage that has been done in their absence. They become determined to resume their battle with the forces of Oblivion who are degrading their beautiful planet. The young monk and his travelling companion are guided through their journey as the power of the dragon begins to weave its way through the consciousness of Arimathea. They gradually find other people who took part in the initiation ceremony. These characters have been reincarnated into the present time specifically to help restore the connection the human race has lost with their world. They have to confront the increasingly paradoxical nature of the human situation on their planet as the power of the dragons works through their dreams. In their own separate situations the characters are guided deep into the consciousness of Arimathea to find the role they will play in bringing Arimathea closer to their race. Circumstances begin to arise as the conflict between the dragons is resolved and their powerful supernatural ability to influence the path of their world into the future begins to emerge as more of the human race receive the dragon dreams. The battle with Oblivion continues... See more
