About Charles Armstrong

Charles K. Armstrong is Professor of History and former Director of the Weatherhead East Asian Institute at Columbia University. He is the author of Tyranny of the Weak: North Korea and the World 1950 1992 (2013) and co-editor of Korea at the Center: Dynamics of Regionalism in Northeast Asia (2006) among other books. He has written widely on East Asian and international history.
