English

By (author): Jimmy Doherty

A Taste of the Country is a celebration of country living and how to get involved with the land and the food that you eat. As well as over 80 recipes for traditional British farmhouse dishes from shepherd's pie to rhubarb and strawberry crumble, there is information about gathering wild food, keeping chickens, growing salads, pickling, preserving and much more. Jimmy takes you from the farmyard and back garden, into the fields, hedgerows and woods and back to the kitchen, barbeque or open fire to prepare a feast of wild foods, home-grown produce and quality local ingredients. Whether you live in the town or in the countryside, the lifestyle captured here guarantees your very own taste of the good life. See more
