Arsène Lupin versus Herlock Sholmes
English
By (author): Maurice Leblanc
In these stories, Maurice Leblancs charismatic gentleman burglar, Arsène Lupin, once again baffles the Parisian police. Determined not to be thwarted by the man known as Frances national thief, the authorities turn to England and engage Herlock Sholmes, a thinly disguised version of Arthur Conan Doyles famous consulting detective. Meeting in a contest of wit and skill, the two men do battle in adventures that feature a mysterious blonde lady, Lottery Ticket No. 514, a fabulous blue diamond and the mystery of Rue Murillo. These stories were first published in the French magazine, Je sais tout (I know all), in 19067, with English translations following in 1910.
