About Horatio Clare

Horatio Clare's first book for children Aubrey and the Terrible Yoot won the Branford Boase Award for a first children's novel in 2016. His second book in the series Aubrey and the Terrible Ladybirds was longlisted for the Carnegie and the UKLA book awards. Horatio has also written a number of award-winning creative non-fiction titles including Running for the Hills which won a Somerset Maugham Award and was longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award Truant A Single Swallow and the travelogue Down to the Sea in Ships winner of the Standford Dolman Travel Book of the Year 2015.
