Big Cat for Little Wandle Fluency has been developed in collaboration with Wandle Learning Trust and Little Sutton Primary School. It consists of a range of chapter books with increasing word counts across 10 fluency levels aimed at children in Year 2 and 3. Each book builds reading confidence, stamina and speed and nurtures a love for reading.

Fluency 2 books have a word count of 3360 words with an expected reading rate of 70 words per minute.

About Anne Fine

Anne Fine is one of Britains most distinguished writers for both adults and children.  She has twice won both the Carnegie Medal and the Whitbread Childrens Book of the Year Award as well as the Guardian Childrens Fiction Prize the Smarties Prize and numerous other regional and foreign awards. She has twice been voted Childrens Author of the Year. Valentina Toro was born in Medellín Colombia. Her father is a great illustrator and watching him draw inspired her to become an illustrator too. Valentina studied graphic design as well as Creative Writing. She started publishing her own books in 2013 and since then hasnt stopped making stories for children. She has illustrated many different picture books and childrens literature has given her the opportunity to collaborate with talented writers from other countries.
