About Marwa Hassaan
Marwa Hassaan is a Lecturer in the Accounting Department at Mansoura Business School. She holds a PhD in Accounting from Aston University and an MSc in Financial Accounting and a BSc in Accounting from Mansoura University. Dr Hassaan is a fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy an editorial board member and a reviewer for the International Journal for Research in Business and Social Science (IJRBS) and has 12 years of teaching experience in higher education in the UK and in the Middle East. She was awarded the ARE Prime Ministers excellence award in 1999 Mansoura Universitys excellence award in 1999 and the Mansoura Governorate award for distinction in 2000. She is a member of the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) and of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honour Society. Marwa has successfully completed many training courses at Nottingham University Birmingham University and Aston University which include experimental design structural equation modeling IFRSs updates consultancy and the Aston Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education. Dr Hassaan teaches various courses in financial accounting international accounting management accounting and auditing. Her research covers the governance and financial reporting practices. Other interests include compliance with IFRSs and other international best practices in emerging stock exchanges particularly in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
