Daisy, Daisy

English

By (author): Carmen Cullen

I must get married, and I will, nineteen-year-old Evelyn decides. It is 1969. Evelyn is pregnant. Around her, the staid values of an older Ireland still rule. Decently married, she finds herself beset by doubts about her love for her husband Liam, and the temptations posed by other men. In interlinked stories, we follow Evelyn through her marriage, and the birth of her children, to the break-up of the hard-worked-at union and into the beginnings of a new relationship. Poignant storytelling from a wonderful writer. See more
