Dark Heart: Angels in the City is a thriller/social commentary that continues in the tradition of the first book, Dark Heart: Images of a City. A sickly underworld widow finds the vigilante's journal after the hotel bomb blast took her husband. Reading through the journal, the woman believes the vigilante to be an angel come to save her from the depths of hell. Upon finding that she has little time left to live, the woman decides to take on the vigilante's mission to make the city safer and in doing so earning herself a place in heaven. Armed with a Bible and a sword, she sets out with her disciples to rid the city of evil before her ultimate death. See more
