Dublin''s Strangest Tales: Extraordinary but true stories (Strangest)

Paperback | English

By (author): Michael Barry Patrick Sammon

A quirky collection of true stories from the stranger side of Ireland''s capital city.

Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of Dublin. Though this isn''t the usual side of the city the tourists, travellers and residents see. This is the real Dublin, the strange and twisted nooks and crannies of the city''s bizarre history - past, present and future. Following on from the bestselling Portico Strangest titles now comes a book devoted to one of Ireland''s most beautiful, and popular, cities. Located on the beautiful eastern seaboard, Dublin is a city with more strangeness than you can shake a pint of Guinness at. Home to one million people, the name, strangely, comes from the Irish ''Dubh Linn'', which means ''Black Pool'', but that name was already taken.

Dublin''s Strangest Tales is a treasure trove of the hilarious, the odd and the baffling - an alternative travel guide to some of the city''s best-kept secrets. Read on, if you dare! You have been warned.
