About Hamish Brown

Hamish Brown is a legendary climber walker traveller and author. He is the author and editor of many books including Tom Weir an anthology of work selected from throughout the great mans life which provide a vivid self-portrait. Hamish Brown is also an editor poet and short story writer as well as an acknowledged expert on all things Scottish and explorer of the countrys many highways and byways. In 2015 Hamish Brown was awarded an OWPG Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to outdoor writing/photography. In 2017 he was named as the 10th recipient of the Scottish Award for Excellence in Mountain Culture.
