The Encyclopaedia of Executions is the definitive work on this subject. John Eddleston has spent years researching and producing detailed, authoritative and gripping accounts of all the executions that took place in Britain during the 20th century. From the grisly, to the curious, to the down-right shocking, all aspects of each execution are covers in amazing detail. The hard facts of each case cover the murderers, the victims, the trials, and, of course, the executions themselves. The facts are brought to life by the vivid descriptions of the 'characters', the circumstances, the motives and sometimes the remorse. A fascinating document, with all the pace of a good crime novel, this is a must-read for true crime fans, criminologists and those with a passion for historical fact.
