About David WoodmanGerald Tharp
David Woodman joined the project in the Eighth Edition and is now fully responsible for the manuscript revision though Dr. Tharp remains a consultant as needed. David has used this manual in his own lab for over a decade and has a solid grasp of the content style and technology in the text as well as the student interests goals and challenges encountered in this course. Dr. Gerald Tharp is a retired professor of the University of Nebraska Lincoln. He signed the contract for this title back in 1973 with Burgess Publishing Co. in Minneapolis and the title was later passed to Macmillan Inc. of New York which was succeeded by Prentice-Hall for the Eighth Edition in 2001. The Eighth Edition was the last time that Tharp actively participated in the revision process.
