Jane Anson is Decanters Bordeaux correspondent and has lived in the region since 2003. She writes a monthly wine column for Hong Kongs South China Morning Post a weekly column for DecanterChina.com and is the author of Bordeaux Legends: The 1855 First Growth Wines (also published in French as Elixirs). In addition she has contributed to the Michelin guide to the Wine Regions of France and was the Bordeaux and Southwest France author of The Wine Opus and 1000 Great Wines That Wont Cost a Fortune. An accredited wine teacher at the Bordeaux École du Vin Anson holds a masters in publishing from University College London and a tasting diploma from the Bordeaux faculty of oenology. Anna E. Brooke relocated from her native Britain to Paris in 2000 and hasn't looked back since. She is now a full-fledged bohemian juggling life between freelance travel writing Frommer's Sunday New York Times Travel Time Out Paris and the Financial Times children's fiction acting and songwriting for film. Mary Ann Evans is an experienced journalist travel writer editor and author. Mary Anne has always been a Francophile. From that first family trip to a small seaside town in northern France aged five she has always championed the good things in life that France offers. A member of the British Guild of Travel Writers Mary Anne has had articles published in Gourmet magazine the Observer Metro and many other international outlets. She has worked for Michelin and Gault Millau writes and edits guidebooks and the website for Frommers and contributes to gayot.com on London restaurants and hotels. She has also worked for the BBC World Service. She is currently the expert on all things French for About.com. Mary Anne divides her time between her native London and her house in the Auvergne. Lily Heise went to Paris as an exchange student in 2000 and fell in love with the country. She has extensive experience in the travel and culture sectors and contributes to various international and local publications both in print and on-line. She lives in Montmartre and spends her free time exploring off-beat Paris in addition to villages and vineyards around the country. Sophie Kevany has lived on and off in Bordeaux since 2004. She has also lived and worked in Ireland Norway South Africa and Peru. She is a freelance journalist writer and researcher and works for a range of publications including Decanter and Wine Business International.She splits her time between Bordeaux and Dublin. Mary Novakovich is an award-winning travel writer and journalist and a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers. Tristan also lectures on travel journalism at London's Central Saint Martins. He lives in Nice France. Louise Simpson fell in love with all things French as a teenager on holidays to her family home in Dordogne and as a French student at Cambridge University.
