About Andrew Mikolajski
Andrew Mikolajski was born in the Midlands and studied music and German at the University of London. Early on he had the good luck to work on several RHS reference projects that brought him into contact with expert gardeners and nurserymen. Andrew then went on to author over thirty books of his own including The Illustrated World Encyclopedia of Apples and Pruning Plant by Plant. He has taught the RHS certificate and garden design at Warwickshire College as well as leading day courses on aspects of design garden history and practical gardening at Lamport Hall Farncombe Estate and the English Gardening School at Chelsea Physic Garden.
