About Richard Gaunt

Richard Gaunt was born in Lancashire but grew up in Darlington. He went to live in Wales in 1969 and took all the photographs for this book during that decade. His work career has included posts in the chemicals steel and construction industries as well as in local government and most recently as a director of a policy research consultancy. His photographs have appeared in The Guardian and Steam Railway among other publications.
