This beach on the South Indian coast is full of activity. By day you can see fishermen bring in the catch, women selling fish, people and animals going about their business...but then, when the sun starts to set, the beach becomes a different place - now it's time for everyone to play, talk, sit around, eat and have fun...until the fisherfolk go to sleep, and all the others go home. French artist Joelle Jolivet takes you through a day - and night - on an Indian beach. Have fun exploring, colouring, and adding to this never-ending book surrounded by the sea!

About Joelle Jolivet
One of the best-known illustrators in France Joelle Jolivet was born in 1965. She studied Graphic Art and Advertising at School of Applied Arts in Paris. Joelle was always interested in engraving and printing so she spent a year in the lithography workshop at the Beaux Arts. This led her to the discipline of lino-cutting which has remained her main mode of expression ever since. Joelle has illustrated around 10 books some of them - such as 365 Penguins - going on to become world bestsellers. Apart from book work she has illustrated numerous book covers and also works for the press from time to time. Joelle lives in Ivry-sur-Seine close to Paris.
