Willard M. Oliver is professor of criminal justice'in the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University Huntsville Texas. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in political science from West Virginia University and a M.S. and B.S. in criminal justice from Radford University.' He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and books including Homeland Security for Policing which is widely used in both criminal justice and homeland security courses.'He is a retired Major from the U.S. Army Military Police Corps and is a decorated Veteran of the Persian Gulf War.'He is also a former police officer from the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.' Oliver is a black belt in the martial arts and is'an avid marathon runner. Nancy E. Marion is professor of political science and associate chair of the Department of Political Science at the University of Akron Akron Ohio. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in political science from the State University of New York an M.S. in criminal justice from American University and a B.S. in administration of justice from Pennsylvania State University. She is the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and books including The Public Policy of Crime and Criminal Justice. He has prior experience as a project manager with an NGO the Institute for the Study of Violent Groups (ISVG) focusing on open-source collection of terrorist information.
