English

By (author): Margaret Cahill

Caitlin Powell is currently single, young(ish), has crazy hair and loves dancing. You'd think she had the world at her feet. Far from it. An abusive relationship has left her emotionally drained and her confidence at an all-time low. Her best friend Jules is deeply worried and everyone agrees she needs to get away. But Jules is crazy busy, so who can she go with? Enter James, their gay best friend. He and Caitlin go back years and he's delighted to be her knight in shining armour. Calling in a favour from a friend, he manages to get them a last-minute cruise. But will it be enough to repair Caitlin's shattered self-esteem? As the ship makes its way around the Med, each port becomes a catalyst for surprising revelations and ever-deeper conversations that help them both to open up about their lives. Life aboard a floating luxury hotel and long sunny days at sea start to work their magic and soon they make friends with the estranged couple Nick and Sarah, who become an important part of their journey in more ways than one... About Margaret Cahill

Margaret Cahill's day job is publishing MBS books through her company The Wessex Astrologer. She started writing a blog to keep in touch with friends during treatment for lymphoma in 2013; the blog led to her first book 'Under Cover of Darkness: How I Blogged My Way Through Mantle Cell Lymphoma' as well as invitations to write about complementary support for cancer patients by various organisations including Bloodwise.org. She's now completely addicted to writing. This is her first work of fiction but her love of cruising might just peek through the storyline. She lives with her partner and three cats on the sunny south coast of England just a short stroll from the insanely beautiful pine-fringed beach at Highcliffe. You can reach Margaret through the blog at www.margaretcahill.wordpress.com.
