About Tom Wright

Proprietor of the Old Scotland in Pictures framing shop just off Leith Walk in Edinburgh for over 30 years Tom Wright is now happily retired. The shop specialised in Victorian and Edwardian photographs of Scotland and utilising the vast collection of negatives and postcards accumulated during this period this book is a complete change of direction from his previous books about football.On leaving school at 15 Toms first job was in Leith where he quickly acquired a great affinity with the Port and its unique atmosphere. An affinity that continues to this very day.He is married to wife Liz has two daughters and four grandchildren. Tom is also author of The Golden Years: Hibernian in the Days of the Famous Five Hibernian: From Joe Baker to Turnbulls Tornadoes and co-author of Crops: The Alex Cropley Story.
