About James Powell

James Powell is one the most highly regarded writers of short crime fiction. He has been published in Ellery Queen Alfred Hitchcocks Mystery Magazine and Playboy. He is a multi-Arthur Award nominee winner of the Ellery Queen Readers Award and co-recipient of the CWCs Derrick Murdoch Award in 1992. In 2003 Powell received their Arthur Ellis Award for best short story of the year and that same year one of his stories was nominated for a Shamus award by the Private Eye Writers of America. Powell now lives in Pennsylvania.
