About Larry Rothe

Larry Rothe is coauthor of FOR THE LOVE OF MUSIC published by Oxford University Press, and coeditor of AMERICAN MAVERICKS: MUSICAL VISIONARIES, PIONEERS, ICONOCLASTS, published by the University of California Press. For many years he has been editor of the SFS's program book, and he has contributed articles to the program books of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and New York Philharmonic, and to the SF Opera magazine. A native of Chicago, he lives in Berkeley.
