June Jamrich Parsons is an educator digital book pioneer co-author of Texty and McGuffey award-winning textbooks and a TAA fellow. Lisa Ruffolo has served as a technical writer and editor for more than 30 years. She is pursuing an emphasis in operating systems and digital literacy. She has edited top-selling books in the fields of introduction to computing Microsoft Office PC repair and computer programming. Over the past 25 years Robin M. Romer has focused on writing and editing books about computing including computer applications Web design and development and service desks. In 2001 Robin sold her successful imprint Acada Books to return to her roots and concentrate on hands-on writing and editing. She has authored and contributed to more than 30 books and edited more than 50 titles. An esteemed professional and respected author Dan Oja along with June Parsons purchased an Apple II+ in 1981 and quickly became fluent in BASIC dBASE II Lotus 123 WordStar and a variety of accounting programs. The next year he and Dr. Parsons opened a successful small computer retail store that offered software instruction to children and adults. With Dr. Parsons Mr. Oja began writing and creating educational software for Course Technology in 1992. Today Mr. Oja's and Dr. Parson's team of highly skilled media specialists and desktop publishers located in various states and provinces work together via the Internet to deliver exceptional texts. Dr. Mark Shellman is an instructor and the Chair of the Information Technology Department at Gaston College in Dallas North Carolina. Dr. Mark as his students refer to him prides himself on being student-centered and loves learning himself. His favorite subjects in the information technology realm include databases and programming languages. Dr. Mark has been teaching information technology for more than thirty years and has co-authored several texts in the New Perspectives Series on Microsoft Access databases. A leading textbook author lecturer and instructor Patrick Carey has authored or co-authored more than 40 popular academic and trade texts for the academic market. He has taught and written about a wide range of topics including website design JavaScript programming Microsoft Office and Excel statistics data analysis and mathematics. Mr. Carey received his Master of Science in biostatistics from the University of Wisconsin where he worked as a researcher designing and analyzing clinical studies. Today he splits his time between Wisconsin and Colorado and when he is not writing he can be found hiking and cycling. Ms. Ann Shaffer is the author of NEW PERSPECTIVES ON MICROSOFT WORD 365 and has contributed to many other Cengage publications. She has more than 30 years of experience as a developmental editor and co-author of books journal articles and multimedia in a variety of fields including computer science mathematics history engineering and social sciences. She holds a masters degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Katherine T. Pinard has more than 25 years of experience writing and editing books about computer concepts applications and technology. She has co-authored or contributed to more than 20 successful books and has edited or managed more than 60 titles. She is MOS certified in Word and PowerPoint. Sasha Vodnik is a programmer instructional designer and trainer. They have authored or co-authored textbooks on front-end topics including HTML CSS and XML and have also written and presented several online courses for advanced JavaScript developers. Sasha currently works as a technical course developer at DocuSign where they focus on creating training materials for software developers.
