About Luanne Linnard-Palmer
Dr. Luanne Linnard-Palmer RN CPN has been a nurse for over 31 years. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Humboldt State University her MSN at University of San Francisco School of Nursing and her Ed.D at University of San Francisco School of Education. She obtained a post doctorate from University of California in San Francisco (UCSF) in the Department of Family Health Nursing under the direction of Dr. Susan Kools. Dr. Linnard-Palmer is a tenured professor at Dominican University of California in Marin County teaching pediatrics research and pharmacology. She'continues her clinical practice as a pediatric oncology nurse coordinator for Stanford University Lucille Packard Children's Hospital and pediatric staff nurse at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Linnard-Palmer's program of research centers around safety medication and medical error reduction illumination of Power Distance simulation safety education and cultural/religious influences to medical treatment refusal or limitation in pediatric health care. Dr. Linnard-Palmer enjoys'accompanying her students abroad to discover how health care is administered in various countries including Costa Rica Spain and Uganda.
