About J.M. Barrie

J.M. Barrie (18601937) was a Scottish novelist and playwright. After finishing school in Scotland he moved to London where he met the five Llewelyn Davies boys whom he originally told the tale of Peter Peter. In 1904 Barrie wrote the play Peter Pan or The Boy Who Wouldnt Grow Up which was very successful and led to him writing the books we know today. Upon his death he gave the rights to Peter Pan to Londons Great Ormond Street Hospital a childrens hospital.
