Thank you for buying and for reading this slightly self-indulgent book of poetry and of art. I hope you enjoyed the art from my family members as much as I have over the years. My motivation for nearly all of the poems within this book came from wanting to call round at my Mum's with something to read to her which she would enjoy. She has always enjoyed seeing her sons do something competently successfully and happily. By putting these poems into a book beautifully supported by the pictures created by my Mum my lovely wife and my two beautiful daughters I feel I have created something for them to appreciate now and in time to come. Finally it is unlikely that a book of this nature will achieve massive financial or critical success. By self-publishing I have succeeded in achieving what I aimed to do. As long as I have the motivation of my Mum to visit and impress (and please) I will continue to write a poem every week and that might amount to volume 2 sometime in the future. Thank you again.
