Rock''n''Roll Russia!

English

By (author): Richard Hume

This is Richards second book about RocknRoll in Russia. His first was titled RussianRoll and was published in 2016. Similar to RussianRoll, RocknRoll Russia reads like a love letter to classic rocknroll. Richards collection of work tells the stories of legends such as Alan Freed, Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly, Fats Domino, Sharon Sheeley, the Everly Brothers, Connie Francis, Del Shannon, Tommy Steele, Ricky Nelson and Rose Maddox. In addition, Richard details - and sometimes leads the charge on the Russian scene, proving that rocknroll is not a purely Western phenomenon. Comprised of Richards columns from 2015-2017 published in Maggies Blue Suede News, the U.K.s top rock magazine, this collection tells the great stories of truly special people; hugely enjoyable for anyone, but especially those who love rocknroll.
