About Ayisha Malik

Ayisha was born and raised in south London where she worked as a publicist at Penguin Random House and a managing editor at Cornerstones Literary Consultancy before becoming a full-time writer. Her debut novel SOFIA KHAN IS NOT OBLIGED was dubbed as the Muslim Bridget Jones. She is known for ghost-writing Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussains adult books. Erika was born in colourful Mexico where she fell in love with animation before moving to the UK to teach drawing in Decorative Arts in NTU. She won a scholarship to study in L'École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs where she learned to combine bold colour and mark-making with poetry. When Erika isnt drawing youll find her drinking coffee annoying students or plotting ways to teach her cat to play the piano.
