About Ross Algar

Ross Algar was born in Cambridgeshire in 1960. He started riding at the age of four and completed his first one-day event at the age of eight. He went on to represent his local Pony Club in both eventing and dressage championships and competed his own horses in affiliated events. At the age of nineteen he joined The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery. He rode as part of their display team and became an instructor at the Army School of Equitation at Melton Mowbray.
