About Helen Brocklehurst

Helen Brocklehurst worked as an editor at two of the UK's largest trade publishing houses before becoming Head of AA Publishing where she earned a reputation as a veteran quiz setter and an unreliable keeper of scores. Until leaving the AA in 2018 she oversaw the production of millions of AA maps and atlases and was responsible for the AA's traffic and routeplanner webpages serving as many as 4 million routes a week. Due to having no natural sense of direction she is a devoted map reader and confesses to mild panic if she leaves home without one. She loves planning new running routes and being outdoors and recently completed her first marathon and a triathlon in an attempt to offset her unruly passion for flapjack.
