The Art of Thinking in a Digital World: Be Logical Be Creative Be Critical

English

By (author): Luc de Brabandere

Luc de Brabandere has had three careers in his fifty years of professional life. He started out as a computer engineer, before becoming a consultant in creativity, and today he is a corporate philosopher. This journey has led him to investigate successively the three modes of thinking that are permanently articulated within us: logical thinking, creative thinking and critical thinking. As a talented popularizer, he puts forward an ambitious yet accessible summary of the main principles that govern these three modes of thinking. The book is richly illustrated and places thinking in an historical perspective that allows us to better understand how ChatGPT and other artificial intelligences are influencing our mental models.

In this book, thinking is presented as a game whose rules need to be understood in order to be able to play the game better. A machine cant be creative or responsible. So the more machines there are, the more thinking well need to do!
