About Facet
Peggy Johnson is a frequent speaker and trainer on collection development and management. She has published several books including ALA Edition's Developing and Managing Electronic Collections: The Essentials and numerous journal articles. She edited the peer-reviewed journal Library Resources & Technical Services for more than nine years ending her term in December 2012 and continues to edit the journal Technicalities: Information Forum for the Technical Services Professional. Prior to retiring from the University of Minnesota Libraries she served as Associate University Librarian. Peggy is past president of the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) and received the ALCTS Ross Atkinson Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. She has consulted on library development in Morocco Rwanda Uganda Senegal and China and on technical services and collection development and management in the U.S. Peggy teaches library management as an adjunct professor in the St. Catherine University MLIS program. She is a graduate of St. Olaf College and has a Masters from the University of Chicago Graduate Library School and a Masters of Management and Administration from Metropolitan State University. Maggie Fieldhouse is a Lecturer at the Department of Information Studies at University College London. She is module tutor for the Collection Management and Management modules on the MA Library and Information Studies Programme. Audrey Marshall is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing Mathematical and Information Sciences at the University of Brighton and course Leader for the MA in Information Studies. Karl Bridges has been a professional academic reference librarian for more than twenty years. He is the acting dean at Eli M. Oboler Library at Idaho State University. He holds master's degrees in history from Miami University and the University of Illinois from which he also has an MLS. He has extensive professional writing experience including scholarly articles in journals such as American Libraries and The Journal of Library Philosophy and Practice. He has also written three books (two as sole author one as editor) and a book chapter on various library subjects including Web 2.0 library interviewing and the future of libraries. He is also a book reviewer for publications including the Journal of Electronic Resources Librarianship and Catholic Library World. Dr G. Peter Clayton BA DipLib GradDipArts InfStudies MA PhD AALIA AFAIM MACE is Associate Professor in Information Management and Program Director for Information Studies at the University of Canberra Australia. Alana Verminski is the collection development librarian at the Bailey/Howe Library at the University of Vermont. Her interest in electronic resources management began while working at the St. Mary's College of Maryland Library in St. Mary's City Maryland. Kelly Marie Blanchat is the electronic resources support librarian at Yale University Library. Before joining Yale Kelly worked as the electronic resources librarian at Queens College Libraries at the City University of New York and as an account specialist at Springer Science + Business Media.
