About Jo Woolf

In 2014 Jo Woolf began digging into the archives of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society in a mission to bring to light some half-forgotten figures in the field of exploration. She came across some remarkable stories of endurance and survival and started to piece them together in a book that celebrates the Societys ongoing support of explorers and scientists. In 2016 she was invited to become Writer in Residence at the RSGS. Jo was born in Shropshire and now lives with her husband in West Lothian. She has always had a passion for writing along with a lively fascination for history and the natural world.
