About Kate NolanRob Lloyd JonesSam Smith

Rob Lloyd Jones (Author) Rob studied Egyptology at university but never thought he'd do much with it. Since joining Usborne in 2005 he's written loads of books about Ancient Egypt and on topics ranging from space to the story of Islam. He is also the author of several award-winning historical adventure novels and a hopeless cook.Sam Smith (Author) Sam grew up in Buckinghamshire falling off various bicycles before reading books and making up his own stories about more competent heroes. After studying English at Cambridge University he joined Usborne in 2013 and now writes titles ranging from fold-out solar systems to maze books full of swashbuckling pirates. Sometimes Sam cycles to work.Kate Nolan (Author) Kate grew up in the Cotswolds and now lives in the West Midlands where she worked as a primary school teacher before joining Usborne in 2019. Since then she has worked on books on all sorts of topics from airports and trucks to unicorns and butterflies.
