Words Fail Me

4.12 (130 ratings by Goodreads)

English

By (author): Teresa Monachino

Why do noses run and feet smell?

Why is abbreviate such a long word?

Being blunt can result in a cutting remark. A verb is a noun, and monosyllabic has five syllables.

Using striking and witty graphic design, Teresa Monachino demands answers to the many complexities of the English language.

These graphic musings on the idiosyncrasies of the English language are a regular feature in Private Eye Magazine.
