About Christopher NolanCornelia FunkeDavid Roberts

Cornelia Funke is one of Germanys best-loved childrens authors. She started out as an illustrator but found herself itching to write her own stories. Since then she has established a huge international fanbase with books such as Dragon Rider and her Inkheart trilogy which was adapted into a major motion picture. Cornelia lives in Los Angeles.||David Roberts studied fashion design at university then made hats as a milliner but always felt his true calling was in childrens book illustration. After jobs as a hair-washer and film extra Davids first book was shortlisted for the Mother Goose Award and since then he has created the Dirty Bertie character and illustrated works by fantastic authors such as Julia Donaldson Jacqueline Wilson and Sally Gardner for the award-winning Tinder. David says I always wear stripy socks never plain!
