About John Dougherty

John Dougherty is an award-winning author of childrens books including Theres a Pig Up My Nose (winner of Oscars Book Prize 2018); the critically-acclaimed Stinkbomb & Ketchup-Face series; and the poetry collection Dinosaurs & Dinner-Ladies. His books have also been shortlisted for the Branford Boase Award and the Ottakars (now Waterstones) Childrens Books Prize. John is a former teacher and is a former chair of the Society of Authors Childrens Writers and Illustrators Group. He is a popular visitor to schools and festivals.
