This laugh-out-loud story about Gus the grumpy dog will tickle every dog-lover's funny bone. Gus doesn't like much of anything, not going walkies, not playing fetch, and especially not making new friends. So what will Gus do when a lively little puppy appears on the scene? Is grumpy Gus really a big old softie maybe, or maybe not...

Giggle away those grumps with This is Gus, a hilarious picture book written and illustrated by bestselling Chris Chatterton, about bad moods, friendship and learning to compromise. After all . . . we all have Gus days!

About Chris ChattertonWoollard Elli

Chris Chatterton began his career in graphic design and animation working on a variety of projects including Dr Who and CBBCs The Dumping Ground. Chris passion for illustration then led him to pursue a career as a freelance artist working on a number of childrens books including the Gremlins picture book series (Egmont) and Dino Diggers (Bloomsbury). Now writing the stories as well Chris considers his Gus picture book story to be semi-autobiographical as he claims his loveable grumpy dog character is based on his own grumpy moods! Originally from County Durham Chris now lives and works in the basement studio of his house in Newcastle Upon Tyne where he is also a Committee Member for the Society of Authors in the North.
