About

Hilary Diaper was Keeper of the Art Collection and Gallery at the University of Leeds from 1987 until 2010. Previously she was employed as Research Assistant in the University's Department of Fine Art working first for Professor Lawrence Gowing and afterwards Professor T.J.Clark. Especially interested in British art and criticism from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century she has published studies and curated many exhibitions in this area as well as completing a catalogue of the University's art collection. She guest-curated the 2015 exhibition in the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery at Leeds University to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Maurice de Sausmarez.
