We Survived the Second World War

Cezar Danon was taken to a concentration camp with his family in 1942 when he was just 13 years old. They survived the camp and years in hiding before returning to their hometown to the cheers and hugs by their neighbours. This is a true story, told through the eyes of a boy who had to grow up very quickly and face the famine, cold, malaria and frequent Nazi raids. Through all this he managed to keep the trust in human nature. It is a powerful reminder of the history which must never be repeated and also a message for peace and tolerance.
