This book presents the proceedings of the 15th EAI International Conference on Automation and Control in Theory and Practice (ARTEP 2023), held in Stará Lesná, Slovakia, February 8-10, 2023. The aim of the conference was to meet the experts in the field of control, industrial automation and ICT in the industry from universities, colleges, and practice. The conference aims to draw attention to modern trends in the field, to enable experts, pedagogues and scientific researchers to present the results achieved in their work, to exchange experiences and establish working contacts between meeting participants. The ARTEP proceedings includes papers on automation and control and their integration of technologies such as Industry 4.0, robotics, and IoT. ARTEP is primarily a conference for scientists and practitioners who develop and study automation, management, and technologies.

About

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Michal Balog is head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Informatics at the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies based in Presov of Technical University in Kosice. His publishing activities are introduced by more than 100 domestic and foreign publications. He works as a lecturer at local universities in Poland and Czech Republic. He is the organizer of many domestic and international conferences acts as tutor on PhD study programs and has participated in numerous Slovak and international projects as team member and as the project head.  Among his most important project activities is Support and expansion of the CVD Plus Transport Research Centre project from 2013 to 2020 where was actively involved as a researcher.   Dr. Angelina Iakovets at 2014 has graduated from the Kherson National Technical University where she got a masters degree in Analyst Consolidated information. In 2022 has graduated from the Technical university of Kosice where successfully received the title of PhD. Currently she is a researcher at the Faculty of Manufacturing Technology with a seat in Presov of Technical University in Kosice. She actively takes a part in faculty projects and write scientific articles. Her research area focuses on using of mobile applications in entrepreneurial information systems and automation. She is a member of the EAI research group. Dr. Stella Hrehova graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the Technical University in Kosice. She received her PhD. in the field of Engineering technology at the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies with a seat in Presov of the Technical University in Kosice in 2004. In 2011 she received her Bc. in the field of Computer science at the P.J. afarik University in Kosice. She has 25 years of teaching experience. Her scientific focus is on data processing optimization and augmented reality. She has published numerous articles at scientific conferences and in journals. She is a member of the EAI research group.
