John Alfred Coppack was born in Lancashire and spent his childhood in Liverpool before moving to North Yorkshire. John is a law graduate of the University of London and lives in Harrogate with his wife and daughter. John is a writer of walking guides focusing on north-west England. Previous titles by John Coppack include: The Richmond Way: a walk through the Lower Lune Valley and the Yorkshire Dales; The Kendal Limestone Way a walk mainly through the limestone uplands of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and along the limestone escarpments lying between Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland Fells; and The Comedy Way a semi-circular walk around Morecambe Bay. John is a member of the Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild.
