About Christopher Catto
Chris Catto was born in Cambridge to an Italian mother and English father. He was schooled in Italy until the age of 19 and then obtained a degree in Automotive Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire followed by an MSc in Motorsport at Cranfield University. Here he pursued an interest in design and structural analysis of race car suspension and chassis structures. After graduation Chris worked as Track Engineer and Wind Tunnel Control Systems Engineer for Cosworth Electronics (Pi Research) supporting various racing championships and F1 teams. From 2014 until 2017 he worked at McLaren Automotive as Chassis Control Systems Engineer on the implementation of novel semi-active suspension control systems for the 720S and Senna models. From 2018 he worked on Powertrain and Vehicle Dynamics calibration and software development for performance vehicles at Delta Motorsport RML (Ray Mallock) and Rimac.
