About Jack London

Jack London was born John Griffith Chaney on January 12 1876 in San Francisco California. After working in the Klondike London returned home and began publishing stories. His novels including The Call of the Wild White Fang and Martin Eden placed London among the most popular American authors of his time. London who was also a journalist and an outspoken socialist died in 1916. Melanie Reim is professor and chair of the MA in Illustration Programme at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology.Her work includes illustrations for book publishers advertising agencies museums magazines and major corporations. Hagit Borer is a professor of linguistics at Queen Mary University London and also at the University of Southern California. She studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she was a student of Noam Chomsky.
