About Catherine Brereton

Catherine Brereton is a writer and editor based in London UK. She has written and edited more than 150 books for children on a wide range of topics from art and archaeology to robots and space. Jane McGuinness recently completed an MA in Childrens Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Having grown up in Scotland wildlife and nature are a key focus in Janes work. In 2016 she was awarded the Sebastian Walker Prize for illustration. Royal Botanic Gardens Kew is a world famous centre for botanical and mycological knowledge.
